New Job Opportunity: Change Agents UK
Change Agents UK (http://www.changeagents.org.uk/ncs360) is looking for Wave Co-ordinators, Team Facilitators and Team Supporters (45 people in total) to play a key role in delivering the National Citizen Service 360 (NCS 360) in Yorkshire, funded by the Cabinet Office (more information here).
The NCS 360 project is a voluntary 5 week summer programme for 15-16 year olds which aims to promote a more cohesive, responsible and engaged society, by bringing together young people from different backgrounds to make a difference in their communities. Each young person will take part in four phases of a ‘Wave’, DARE: week 1; DISCOVER: week 2; DEVELOP: week 3; and DO: making it happen weeks 4 and 5.
Change Agents UK is working as part of a consortium of four like-minded youth organisations (Envision, The Co-operative College and Woodcraft Folk) to deliver the NCS 360 programme involving residential-based activities, community action and skills development. The programme has a vision based on co-operative values, a shared commitment to quality youth provision and building sustainable communities and active citizens.
We are asking for your help in targeting the most appropriate people with training and experience of working in the youth work sector – either paid or voluntarily. In addition to providing paid employment for a limited period, some of the roles offer an opportunity for less experienced youth workers to enhance their employability and career development. Please note that these temporary positions offer a salary of between £12-18k pro rata per annum.
